The idea for Mindful Morning was born on a very chilly winter morning in NYC, when a group of like-minded women gathered to celebrate the launch of a yoga book.
After we enjoyed a nourishing yoga class, followed by an epic breakfast spread by my friend Ksenia, we chatted about our everyday wellness challenges and - before we bundled up to bustle back out into the snow - I had big little revelations:
This type of mindful start to the day should happen more often (waking up with some type of mind-body connection and / or a satiating meal; being in good energy) - whether alone or with others.
I, too, have noticed how impactful these types of things have been in my own life.
I could - and very much want - to make that happen here.
I had been experimenting with my own morning rituals for years at that point, ever since my yoga and holistic health studies naturally morphed me into more of a "morning person" myself.
And so I was eager to share what I had learned about beginning the day with intention and mind-body nourishment - not just for my own wellbeing, but for the health of our planet to boot (i.e. the food we chose to eat, the skin and oral care products we chose to use, the clothes we chose to wear…).
And so - my Mindful Morning era began.

Over the course of several successful yoga and meditation events, I teamed up with wonderful collaborators like Paige, who provided gorgeous homemade breakfasts, and Hannah, who contributed organic matcha lattes (and who has since successfully opened several incredible Matchaful Cafés in NYC!).
I was even hired to host corporate Mindful Mornings and organized a few Mindful Evenings, too.
It was such a privilege to create a space where people could nourish their minds, bodies, and the environment through simple, sustainable practices in a community setting.
Eventually, Mindful Morning fizzled after my friend and co-host Aditi (who has actually always been a morning person) and I found ourselves on diverging paths - hers led her to Peloton, and mine led me to Paris (check my city guide for tips!).
The spirit of Mindful Mornings never left me, though, especially the way in which it brought people together over the shared desire of starting the day in a more mindful way.
That's why I'm so genuinely pleased to share not only my free Mindful Morning ebook as the culmination of everything I've learned over the years, but also a nourishing supplementary virtual experience.
